Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment originally made for people who experience severe emotion dysregulation and have struggled with invalidating environments.

DBT Skills Group is one part of DBT, focused on teaching you important skills to manage emotions, survive and get through challenging times, and improve relationships with others. Alone, DBT skills group can help with many different things that have brought you to therapy. I have always said — EVERYONE should have DBT skills.

Anyone is welcome, so long as it is a good fit for what you need. At Grounded Spirit Psychology, I aim to create a skills-focused environment that is life-affirming, gender-affirming, anti-racist, neurodivergent-friendly as possible, and accessible via a virtual setting.

If interested, please contact me at gerald@grou-sp.com or via the Contact page to learn more. The initial meeting will consist of a brief phone or email consultation, followed by a formal first evaluation (“intake”) to see if DBT skills best fits your needs.
